Tribute to Avenged Sevenfold!!!

Not that I don’t love The Beatles, Queen, Guns N’ Roses, or U2, but EVERYBODY loves them, right? *eventhough I somewhat think that the word “love” is even an understatement for them* But Avenged Sevenfold.... I gotta admit that several people dislike them for various reasons. Either way, I ADORE, LOVE, GLORIFY them way too much, fuck off what people say. Let me recommend you some songs from them that I’ve ranked; you better listen!

1)      M I A (Missing In Action)

I’d give 9.9 out of 10 for this song. Despite of some personal memories it carries, oh nostalgia, but this is a perfect song, lyrics-wise and music-wise. Ear-catchy with the perfect, dramatic guitar solo. LIRIKNYA OH MAI GAT. OH. MAI. GAT. This serves a story about a conscription soldier, how he feels in the war seeing his brother died, how he regrets it when he “shot a mother right in front of her son”.  It is so poetic, harmonous, and.... just perfect. This song is just perfect. Here are my favorite lyrics : “I walk your land but don’t belong....”, “Fight for honour, fight for your life...”, “Take away my consciousness and please erase my dreams” Well basically every word in this song is my favorite one.

2)      A Little Piece of Heaven

The most psycho song I’ve ever heard. Like, really. This song is literally a little piece of heaven. Not so ear catchy at first, but goddamn it, I love the lyrics. Best parts? “Cause I really always knew that my little crime would be cold that's why I got a heater for your thighs”

3)      Sidewinder

Just download the song, and go directly to the 4:40. Orgasmic Espanola guitar solo.

4)      Seize the Day

One. Of. The. Most. Romantic. Song. Ever. And the title is what motivates me to watch their concert here. Carpe Diem!

5)      Warmness on the Soul

Also. One. Of. The. Most. Romantic. Song. Ever. Please remind me, if I ever get married, this song should be played at my wedding party.

6)      Gunslinger

ANOTHER. ONE. OF. THE. MOST. ROMANTIC. SONG. EVER. I was quite shocked when they say metal songs are tributes to devil, while quite a lot of them are actually romantic. Not desperate romantic songs like pop song out there, but real romantic, songs that make you really wanna cry and the lyrics are just sweet and beautiful and drive you muse about someone you love. Well, at least Avenged Sevenfold, or Dream Theater, has lots of this kind of song. You’ve just known? Well, poor you hahaha. Gunslinger is one of the romantic song, telling story about a guy who is sent to conscription and how he misses his girlfriend back then, says how “letters keep me warm.” Best part: “I reach towards the sky to say my goodbyes; my heart’s always with you now.” LOVE IT!

7)      Trashed and Scattered

I’ve only known this song for a few weeks, and forgive me if only a few people would think this is a good song. But in times like this, when I really need something to scream and to convey my hatred, THIS IS A COOL SONG BRO. This is the best song that motivates me to go to the concert, despite of some prohibition from my parents, because the lyrics say this: “I won’t be the victim but the first to cast the stone. Sedated nights to the bar room fights till metropolis takes its toll. AND DON’T YOU TRY TO STOP ME, IT’S A PLACE YOU’LL NEVER KNOWWWW. Don’t try to judge or take shots at me, I’LL NEVER LET YOU SEIZE CONTROL!” I LOVE YOU, A7X.

8)      Buried Alive

I wonder though, why Nightmare is called the best song of the so-said album. I think Buried Alive is way better. Especially, I frickkin love the intro!

9)      Lost

That kind of song that’d make you contemplate after hearing the song. “We’ve all been lost for most of this life...”

I really love the guitar rhythm! If you’re trying to understand metal, I think Unholy Confessions is one you can start with.

I can’t be thankful enough for Avenged Sevenfold for their masterpieces that keep accompanying me with their lyrics. This may sound cheesy, and I’m afraid that cheesiness would reduce the manliness of Matt, Zack, Syn & Johnny but really guys you have all the lyrics to describe my life hahaha.

It’s fixed. I hope they still sell the tickets because I’ve decided to WATCH THEIR CONCERT HERE!!!! YAAAAY! I know I’d sacrifice a lot of things, I should sneak out from home and whatever, but watching them is one of my bucket list, and I must regret and hate myself if I don’t go.

You may say, hey they could go here another time! Yes, but they’ve been here twice, and this is going to be the third concert in Jakarta, thus I wonder if they’d come again. Besides, I don’t know, I’m just afraid my life won’t be long enough to do things I really want. Fuck everything. Fuck permission. I wanna go, and it’s exactly what I’m gonna do. Mom just doesn’t understand that A7X does more contribution in my life than her. SEIZE THE DAY!!!

Filosofi Kereta (2)

Apparently in the last six months I've been so near to death FOUR times.


And today was one of those days. This morning I woke up late and I didn't know why but I felt really sad I even cried. I decided to go to the campus for the second class today. And when I was about to cross the trail, I ran and I heard really really loud honks of the train that was so near to me.


I didn't realize the train was passing.


I was nearly getting hit by that train. And I kept running. One second that matters the most in my life.


Afterwards I shivered and my heart beat so fast. Trivial things like SSI quiz or presentation or tasks don't sound important anymore. One second that changes my life.


Just when I complaint to God how my life was so hectic and sucked, He gave me a lesson. Nothing's more important than life. You might not be aware of it, but most of our lives are full of small things and not big things. Everyday people risk themselves passing the trail in order not to be late to go to the office so that they won't disappoint their bosses for example. You know what? We've valued lives that low we even can sacrifice it to fit society's standards FOR GOD'S SAKE.


We've stressed ourselves that bad that we're not happy in order to work, to get money to not enjoy the money in the end of the day.


We've stressed ourselves to get higher GPA to only make people expect us get GPA more and more thus we sacrifice our young ages, sacrifice our sleep times, sacrifice our happiness.


We've stressed ourselves to get more achievements so our CV can look impressive and we can get job easily in order to stress and sacrifice ourselves even more to work hard in the end of the day.


How if I'm so full so ambitions I can't even enjoy life more?


How if my age is not that long from now? Won't I regret?


The train honks and one second in my life keep echoing, reminding me of how valuable this life is to sacrifice myself to fulfill society's constructed standards. Will my age be long?

A Slight Reverberation Upon 2011

Yak jadi ternyata satu tahun sudah berlalu (lagi), yeaaay! Super gak nyangka. 365 hari itu cepet banget ya. Gue bahkan masih inget hari-hari pertama tahun 2011. Time really flies, doesn't it?

Overall, 2011 has done good to me...
